We want to support businesses to reopen our high streets. We are developing a number of schemes to attract local trade back into our towns and help customers to shop safely.
If you think your business will have challenges such as queues forming on narrow pavements, or if you have any ideas for how we can support the reopening of our town centres, email us at High.Streets@cotswold.gov.uk.
We are ordering a selection of stickers to help guide people safely through business premises. If you would like some email us at High.Streets@cotswold.gov.uk.
Read our checklist on what you need to consider before re-opening your business.
Improvements to road and pavements
We are working with highway consultants to look at areas where social distancing might be difficult. For example, narrow pavements and access routes, high visitor numbers. Temporary practical solutions will be identified and put in place to make shopping safer whilst some restrictions are in place.
Some of these changes may enable permanent improvements of pedestrian and cycle access.
We have set up a survey to gather information about your business and any plans which you might be considering in order to allow you to re-open safely. It should take between five to ten minutes to complete. This results will be used to inform any road and pavement projects. Business reopening survey
