Coronavirus update 2 – 20th April 2020

News from Tetbury – At Easter, Nikki Ind, Mayor of Tetbury sent an open letter to the community, to thank residents for their continued support of each other during this unprecedented time. This community effort has been a fine example of how Tetbury pulls together at times of crisis. From the creation of the Tetbury Covid-19 Mutual Support Group, Tetbury Lions Club coordinating leaflets for all houses and our Royal Mail delivery office delivering these, to Tetbury Town Council appointing Councillor Martin Lea as the Lead Councillor for the crisis. Then there are a number of local businesses who have adapted to provide services to our community, particularly The Priory Inn – Takeaway meals and Fresh Food delivery service, Calcot Manor – Free Meal delivery service and The Grocer at Church Street, who has sourced goods in short supply, to mention a few.

Nikki also wanted to remind the community of the procedure to follow should you know of any residents who require community support. Please ask them in the first instance to contact the Gloucestershire County Council Community Hub, this ensures that the needs of the resident are captured and they are then allocated to the appropriate team/service locally. The link and phone number for this service are detailed below –
