Free food waste caddies available for indoor use from Cotswold District Council

Free food waste caddies available for indoor use

Release date: 28 March 2017

Cotswold District Council has a limited number of free food waste caddies – for indoor use only – and is offering them to residents to promote more recycling from Monday 3 April.

Scott Williams of their Joint Waste Team says:

“These caddies are a good size and are ideal for encouraging more food waste recycling.  I must stress that they are not suitable for outdoor use and the contents must be transferred to usual external food waste containers for weekly kerbside collection.

“Anyone interested in obtaining a free caddy – while stocks last – should come and collect one from Cotswold District Council’s headquarters in Trinity Road, Cirencester or at their Moreton Area Centre from the 3rd April onwards.  Anyone collecting one can also take extra caddies for use by neighbours.”
